This short film is a story of two brothers from a small town in the Italian countryside set to a piece of music. The older brother goes in search of fame & success & the younger brother stays behind in the village, where he becomes a local musician. When the older brother returns, he brings with him his fiancée, a mysterious girl from abroad, who falls in love with the younger brother. The love triangle explores jealousy, pride & the depths of love when pushed to their extremes.

Trained actors only, as the roles require some challenging scenes.

MALE LEAD: A well traveled celebrity:
Age range 25-30 Tall, well built, Hair Brown, Eyes Brown or Green to play Character traits: Very confident with a taste for the darker side of life.

Ira's experience provides a unique doorway into the authentic world of the clown. Ira has created numerous theatre projects that use clown in all variety of ways from classical theatre to experimental. He was the National Trainer of Australia's Clown Doctors. In addition to his background in classical acting, and physical theatre, Ira has performed as a clown in a variety of skills such as acrobatics with two Chinese acrobats, juggling, dance, mime, singing, music including in Cirque du Soleil as the Dead Clown in Corteo, aerial acts in Corteo as both the Dead Clown and the White Clown. * i.Q QUANTUM THEATRE WORKSHOP with IRA SEIDENSTEIN

For all performers to rediscover & develop their own performance styles- "i.Q Quantum Theatre" , allows the actor clarifies universal principles of acting and theatre regardless of method or style.  This method connects links between Stanislavsky, Suzuki, Lecoq and Shakespeare- engaging the core. Using a basis of Eastern & Western theatre with timing Quantum mechanics: a set of principles underlying the most fundamental known description of all physical systems at the submicroscopic scale. An approach that acknowledges the body-mind-spirit aspects of acting and performance.

Workshop will include original Quantum Theatre techniques: Core Mechanics: ten movements, timing found in any movement technique. Eachof the movementsencourage a different aspect of performance. The Creative Twist: a vortex that embodies creativity, coming spontaneously from the actor's own body. Theatre Ritual :a choreographed patternfor individuality within an ensemble.

Ira Seidenstein trained in the methods of Stanislavsky, Suzuki & Lecoq he has worked on over 100 productions including work with Cirque du Soleil in the development of Kouza, and in Corteo, as the first person to alternate lead clown roles and be resident teacher on tour. Resident teacher, choreographer, actor, co-director with Australia's National Shakespeare company. Actor with San Diego Repertory Theatre. Artistic Director of Sweden’s National Circus High School. He has written numerous plays and worked with independent companies internationally. M.A. in Visual & Performing Arts, PhD in Education. He has coached performers at the highest level including Olympic gymnasts, ballet dancers, circus artistes, and classical actors.

* EXTENDED VOICE- ROY HART INSPIRED WORKSHOP with HARLAN CHAMBERS
Ground your breath, open your body come on an adventure into the unknown. Fly up into the heights and dive down into the depths of the voice.  This workshop searches for the delicate balance between solid technique and playful imagination. By engaging each other in theatrical play, we strive for the freedom that allows sound unheard of and unimagined.

Harlan Chambers is a candidate for the Roy Hart Voice Teacher's Diploma. He teaches regular workshops in Paris, where he moved after spending 8 months living at the Roy Hart International Arts Centre in southern France. Harlan's previous theatre experience includes four years of training and performance with the internationally renowned Guthrie Theatre, as well as with John Barton (RSC), Michael Langham, Thomas Prattki (LISPA), and Ecole Philippe Gaulier.

*VOICE TRAINING & RHYTHM WORKSHOP with JOHANNES STEINER
Warming-up the voice: discover your “own voice“, breathing exercises, vocal techniques, vocal health, control of breath and resonance- body posture while singing and speaking, using the voice more effectively- getting more power and emotion in your voice.  Rhythm theatre is a combination of performing arts and rhythmic patterns based on body percussion. You will learn simple body beats, improvise rhythm-scenes, connecting percussive grooves with gestures, movements and words.

Teatro Punto makes theater where the actor is the author of the story. As the actor on stage is stripped of supports such as extended settings and a fixed script, he can become the author of a tragicomic show. He does this through movement, text, techniques and imagination. Carlos’ main source of inspiration is Commedia dell'Arte. Employing his training, imagination, intellect and a great deal of hard work and experimentation Carlos has taken the Commedia to new heights. His story telling takes the masks into new territory. He has discovered ways to make the life within each mask not only amuse and engage the audience but takes them to the dark side. A theater form full of acting possibilities; it is precise and vulnerable, yet above all else it is alive.

Carlos Garcia Estevez. Founder of the international theater company Teatro Punto. He is actor, director and trainer in physical theater, specialized in Commedia dell’Arte and Mask play. He studied at Jacques Lecoq's School and at the Laboratory of Study of Movement - LEM. Carlos´s work is based in his research the tragic depth that exists in Commedia dell’ Arte. From his research he developed his own methodology for training actors and making theater. He also studied with Donato Sartori (master in mask sculpture) and he became a collaborator at his Centre in Italy, as movement teacher and performer. He works as an actor, director and trainer in Spain, France, Ireland, Holland, Italy, USA, Turkey and Cyprus. BOUFFON: The Anti-Clown - with Eric Davis

In the world of Bouffon, the audience is the joke. Bouffons show no vulnerability. Their great joy is to parody the audience, its values and flaws. This pack of grotesque outsiders engage the audience with great joy, intelligence & charm. They are disgusting, yet beautiful. They hate you, yet they flatter you. The Bouffons are the ultimate manipulators, a ferocious social satire about to explode, liberating the energy in the room with an immense pleasure to parody and to play.

Cirque Du Soleil's lead Clown in
Quidam and Director of the NY Clown Theatre Festival, Eric Davis will turn your world upside down. His class in Bouffon will massively widen your acting range, your relationship with the audience, your improvisational abilities and reinform everything you know so far about theatre.  In this workshop, participants will explore:Connecting with the audience, Parodying societal maladies and hypocrisy, Creating complex physical characters, Playing upon contrasts of theme and rhythm,Being 100 % present and captivating.

Eric Davis is New York based, his original creations have won him both critical and audience acclaim. He performs and teaches internationally.  Credits include the clown in Cirque du Soleil’s highly celebrated production Quidam, as well as being contracted for developmental workshops of Cirque du Soleil’s Kooza, under the direction of Tony winner David Shiner, and Cirque’s 2009 Touring Production. Eric has trained in Pochinko clown technique and Bouffon with masters Sue Morrison as well as Phillipe Gaulier. THE JOY OF FAILURE- RED NOSE CLOWN- with JOHN BEALE

This workshop is about finding out what's not boring about you, lifting up the blinds and plugging yourself back in. Exploring the pleasure to be in the spotlight, to be complicit with an audience and not shy away.  The workshop begins with Le Jeu, exercises and games to wake up your childlike play pleasure. Then, graduate to Red Nose - the smallest mask in the world. The purpose of the nose is not to hide you but to reveal you. In Red Nose, we will share our game pleasure and find our authentic presence.

John Beale is a graduate of the Philippe Gaulier International Theatre School in Paris, France. He has also trained, performed and taught extensively with Shakespeare & Company in Lenox, Massachusetts. 20 hr IPAN International Workshop Exchange: 2, 3 May - 10:00-21:00
The IPAN Weekend Workshop is a 20 hour Intensive Theatre Program. Ten Workshop leaders will be gathered from around the globe to exchange specialized techniques in the form of 2 hour workshops. This Event will be open to a limited number of participants interested in taking these workshops & sharing in an Intercultural Theatre Exchange. 

Sat 2 May 

1 hr IPAN Introduction: Sama Ky Balson - 10:00- 11:00 
An introduction to the aims of the International Performing Arts Network (IPAN). We will discuss the creation & continuation of Intercultural theatre and meet all international workshop guests.

1 hr Sohum Yoga Warm Up: Michelle Timmins - 11:00-12:00
The first workshop will be a yoga warm up. We will enter simple yogic postures to connect us with breath and movement, to ground ourselves and arrive in a space of growth and openness. http://www.sohum-yoga.com

2 hr Psychophysical Training: Sajeev Purushothama - 14:30-16:30  
Psychophysical Image training is a combination of theatre actor training systems drawn from Kalarippayatt, Kathakali, Kootiyattam, Noh theatre and meditational practices.This workshop introduces physical exercises invoking awareness that produce a qualitative state of readiness.

2 hr Rhythm/ Voice: Johannes Steiner - 16:30-18:30 
We will learn to control our breath and resonance, find correct body posture while singing and speaking and play with rhythm patterns based on body percussion.

2 hr Comedia Del Arte/ Mask: Carlos Garcia - 19:00- 21:00

Through a series of physical and psychological exercises, this workshop will explore ways to become more present and ‘sense’itive to the moment.
